The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is a government entity established in 1985 by a statute to develop and promote the export of scheduled products. It provides financial support, knowledge, and standards for the development of planned products. Required Documents
Import-Export Sales & Purchase (Country-wise Destination) refers to the process of recording and reporting sales and purchase transactions for goods traded internationally, categorized by the specific countries involved. This helps businesses and authorities track export performance, monitor trade patterns, and ensure compliance with foreign trade policies. It is especially useful for preparing returns under APEDA, DGFT, and customs-related filings.
APEDA requires exporters who trade in scheduled agricultural and processed food items to have an RCMC (Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate). With this certificate, the exporter is formally registered with the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India's Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). It makes it possible to participate in trade shows, obtain export incentives, apply for financial aid programs, and guarantee that export laws are followed.
When can the Registration be cancelled?
The registration can be cancelled by the authority upon:
1. Furnishing false information.
2. Breach of rules by the registering authority.
3. Breach of conditions imposed in the certificate of registration.
4. Failure to export the scheduled product for 12 consecutive months.
Note: No Hard Copy of any document is required for seeking RCMC from APEDA.
